Being creative isn’t just about having ideas, it’s also about realising them.
It was during a recent trip to the Middle East that the idea of using 24-carats gold was born for Taurua.
I have learned a lot from my recent travels! This has included gathering valuable information about myself. I embarked on a journey of self-discovery – identifying my expectations, perceiving my frustrations, and truly understanding my deep-rooted issues. I can now speak their language.
This new 2022 collection will be an assembly of all this information, which will be the fruit of my new creations.
I look forward to seeing you in 2022 when you will be able to discover this never-before-seen art.

LA BELLE ET LE LEOPARD

2021 already sees the beginnings of Taurua’s upcoming collection with the stunning inaugural piece, ‘La Belle et le Leopard’.
Taurua’s adventure into using the medium of gold began with applying simple golden leaves onto large canvases in 2020, before evolving into taking on work of colossal proportions. Taurua quickly refined her technique to stunning effect and elevated her work with the elegance and purity of 24k gold.
La Belle et le Leopard : This piece was previewed during an exhibition at Art Dubai in April 2021 and has been requested to feature in the prestigious Paris Art Fair in February 2022.
Taurua describes the meaning behind the piece,
A blend of cunning and elegance, the Leopard embodies feline beauty in all its glory. It is not only the strength of a woman’s beauty that sets her apart, or grants her emancipation. The bed of real gold leaves embodies the strength, beauty, and light of female nature.
